Snowdonia, Wales

Between mountain bliss, lakes, and Welsh magic

There are places that seem like they're from another world. Snowdonia—or Eryri in Welsh—is just such a place. Rugged mountains, deep blue lakes, green valleys, and wisps of mist drifting over the peaks. Hiking here immerses you in a landscape full of myths, vastness, and tranquility.

Why Snowdonia?
  • Highest mountain in Wales: Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa, 1.085 m)

  • Over 100 lakes

  • Spectacular panoramic views stretching to the Irish Sea

  • Hikes for beginners to ambitious mountain lovers

The classic route of Mount Snowdon

The highest mountain in Wales is the centerpiece of any trip to Snowdonia. And best of all, there are several routes with varying degrees of difficulty.

🥾 Llanberis Path

The most popular and technically easiest route. Ideal for ambitious beginners.
Duration: approx. 5–7 hours there and back.
Reward: views stretching to the coast on clear days.

🥾 Pyg Track

More spectacular, more varied – with an alpine character.
Perfect for hikers with some experience.

🥾 Miners’ Track

Starts gently along idyllic mountain lakes, becoming more challenging later on.
Very photogenic.

Best time to travel

May to September - although the weather in Wales likes to show all four seasons in one day. Good rainwear is a must.

Our tip

Start early in the morning! The fog slowly clearing from the summit is an unforgettable moment. And even in summer, it can be cool and windy at the top.

GR20, Corsica

Europ's most legendary long-distance hiking trail

Wild, rugged and spectacular: the GR20 is considered the most challenging long-distance hiking trail in Europe but also one of the most beautiful. Covering around 180 kilometers, it takes you across Corsica from north to south, over rugged ridges, past turquoise mountain lakes, and through fragrant maquis scrubland.

Facts
  • Duration: approx. 14–16 days

  • Difficulty: high

  • Best time to travel: June to September

  • Overnight stays in huts or bivouacs

Why the GR20?

Because it's no walk in the park. It's a real adventure. Technical passages, large differences in altitude, and spectacular views make it a challenge both physically and mentally.

Ideal for: experienced mountain hikers in good physical condition.

Tough, honest, breathtaking: the GR20 is one of the most challenging trails in Europe and that's exactly why it's so unforgettable.
