Day 1: Usa River

A Warm Welcome to East Africa

As you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, a heartfelt smile greets you – the gateway to East Africa opens before you.
Your transfer takes you to Arumeru River Lodge, a lush green oasis nestled between banana plants and mahogany trees.
In the distance, the silhouettes of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro keep watch over the land. Birdsong and the gentle warmth of the tropical climate accompany your first night in Africa.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Into the Wild – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you set off for Tarangire National Park – famous for its massive baobab trees and wide-open savannahs, roamed by herds of elephants. This area is home to one of the highest elephant concentrations in all of Africa.

A picnic in the heart of the wilderness is the perfect way to enjoy your morning.

Later, you explore this majestic landscape on safari before arriving at Maweninga Camp – a charming retreat perched high on rocky outcrops, offering breathtaking views across the Rift Valley.

Day 3: Karatu

Across the Red Trails to Karatu

For a few more hours, you follow the red tracks of Tarangire, where the last elephants appear like shadows among the gnarled trunks of the sacred baobabs – silent guardians of the savannah.

Lunch is served against this iconic backdrop at the Tarangire Safari Lodge, perched high above the valley with sweeping views.

In the afternoon, the landscape changes: you drive into the green highlands of Karatu, nestled between coffee plantations and mountain forests.

You arrive at the Bashay Rift Lodge – a warm and peaceful refuge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

A Day in the Heart of Ngorongoro

Today is entirely dedicated to exploring the legendary Ngorongoro Crater – an ancient volcanic caldera that has transformed into a natural sanctuary and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this breathtaking natural amphitheater, lions, black rhinos, hyenas, flamingos, buffaloes, and gazelles all share the same space – living together in rare harmony.

Enjoy lunch in the heart of the crater, followed by a sunset walk with the Maasai and their donkeys – guardians of a centuries-old way of life.

Spend the night at Olduvai Ndogo Camp, a small, rustic, and authentic camp nestled among volcanic stones and open horizons.

Day 5: Seronera

The heart of the Serengeti unveils its secrets: endless plains, gentle hills, and scattered woodlands where lions roam and leopards sometimes appear like whispering shadows of the wild.

Every track holds the promise of a story – a hunt, a birth, or a fleeting moment, suspended between endless sky and golden savannah.
Depending on the time of day and safari opportunities, lunch is enjoyed either back at camp or beneath a lone acacia tree.

As the day fades, you arrive at Togoro Plains Camp – an elegant, understated refuge that appears like a mirage in the middle of nowhere. The fire crackles, the savannah falls asleep – and you enjoy the rare privilege of dwelling in the very heart of the animal kingdom.

Days 6 & 7: Eastern Serengeti

Another day to follow the great herds or trace the path of an elusive cheetah. The central Serengeti, with its extraordinary biodiversity, offers new wild encounters around almost every bend. It's your time to fully surrender once more to the magic of these timeless landscapes – before spending one final night in the majestic stillness of Togoro Plains Camp.

The next morning, you take off from the Seronera airstrip on a last scenic flight over the wild landscapes you've explored in the past days – an unforgettable aerial view of a land that has touched your heart.

A final lunch in Arumeru, where your journey began, brings the adventure full circle – before you're transferred to the international airport for your flight home.

Days 8 & 9: Overnight return flight to Luxembourg

You leave Tanzania with memories that will stay with you forever: glances exchanged in the wilderness, golden light over endless horizons and stories that only a safari can write.
