Day 1: Overnight flight

We are flying from Luxembourg with a stopover to Hanoi.

Days 2 to 4: Hanoi

Xin chào – Welcome to Vietnam!
Day 2: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon your arrival at Hanoi Airport, you'll meet your guide and be transferred to the city center for check-in at your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure, giving you time to recover from the long-haul flight and settle into the rhythm of Vietnam.

 

Day 3: Full-Day City Tour & Hanoi Street Food Experience

Wake up in the heart of the Old Quarter and watch the capital slowly come to life. After breakfast, dive into the vibrant atmosphere of Hanoi with a full-day city tour.

Your day begins at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Stilt House, Presidential Palace, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070. Initially reserved for members of the royal family, it was later opened to sons of noble families.

After lunch, return to the Old Quarter, famous for its 36 ancient streets, and visit a traditional house on Ma May Street. Then, stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake and cross the elegant red Huc Bridge to reach Ngoc Son Temple.

You’ll return to the hotel for a short rest before starting your evening Street Food Tour. Explore the bustling alleyways and sidewalks of the Old Quarter, where your guide introduces you to local culinary highlights. Stop to taste whatever catches your eye – from fresh bánh cuốn (steamed rice rolls) to delicious noodle dishes. To wrap up the evening, take a seat at a casual "bia hoi" street bar to enjoy a fresh local beer and chat with locals about life in Vietnam.

 

Day 4: Day Trip to Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu, Mua Cave & Tam Coc

Today, you'll head to Ninh Binh for a full-day excursion into the rural soul of Vietnam.

Begin with a visit to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of the Dai Co Viet Kingdom in the 10th century. Then challenge yourself with a climb of 500 stone steps to reach Mua Cave, perched atop a mountain offering a breathtaking panoramic view over the karst landscape and the Ngo Dong River.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat ride through Tam Coc, gliding between limestone cliffs and rice fields. Before returning to Hanoi, you’ll visit the peaceful Bich Dong Pagoda, nestled into the mountainside.

Day 5: Cruise aboard the Victory Star

Cruising through the Magic of Halong Bay

Transfer to the pier and board your cruise with a welcome drink. Settle in and get ready to experience the breathtaking beauty of Halong Bay, known for its dramatic limestone formations and tranquil waters.

During the cruise, you’ll enjoy an excursion by bamboo boat or kayak, allowing you to get up close to the natural surroundings. At Titop Island, you can hike to the viewpoint, relax on the beach, or go for a refreshing swim in the emerald waters.

In the evening, join the fun and try your luck at squid fishing under the stars!

Day 6: Hue

From Halong Bay to Hue – Natural Wonders & Imperial Elegance

After enjoying the beautiful sunrise over the bay, you’ll explore the impressive Sung Sot Cave – one of the largest and most spectacular caves in Halong Bay.

After the visit, it’s time to check out and begin your journey back to Hanoi, where you’ll catch your domestic flight to Hue.

Upon arrival in Hue, you’ll be transferred to the elegant Eldora Hotel – a luxurious landmark in the very heart of the city.

Days 7 to 9: Hoi An

Day 7: Royal Heritage & Journey to Hoi An

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to Dong Ba Market, Hue’s largest market where locals shop for just about everything.
Continue to the Imperial Citadel and the former Forbidden Purple City, once the residence of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), including the last emperor Bao Dai.

After lunch, take a relaxing dragon boat cruise on the Perfume River to visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, built in 1601.
Its 21-meter-high tower, constructed in 1844, is one of Hue’s most famous landmarks.

Before leaving Hue, visit the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, known for its elaborate architecture.
You then travel via the scenic Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, stopping at the picturesque Lap An Lagoon – the perfect spot for stunning nature photos.

 

Day 8: Cycling, Farming & Culinary Traditions

This morning, set off by bicycle to the central market of Hoi An, once a bustling trading port. Then ride on to Tra Que Vegetable Village, where you’ll learn about traditional Vietnamese farming methods: raking, sowing, watering, and harvesting – a rare experience in today’s modernized world. You’re welcome to get your hands dirty and join in!

Afterwards, enjoy a foot massage to relax, followed by a cooking class, where a local chef will guide you through the preparation of traditional Vietnamese dishes, which you’ll then enjoy for lunch.

In the afternoon, explore Hoi An’s beautifully preserved Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge (currently under renovation, viewing may be limited), the Fujian and Phuoc Kien Assembly Halls, and the historic Tan Ky Merchant House. These buildings have stood the test of time and reflect the city’s rich multicultural heritage.

Hoi An is also known as the City of Silk Lanterns – the perfect place for a leisurely stroll.  You’ll have the opportunity to create your own silk lantern in a local workshop – a hands-on souvenir that brings the magic of Hoi An home with you.

The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

 

Day 9: Hoi An – At Your Own Pace

Today is completely free for you to enjoy as you wish.

Optional: Book a private half-day bicycle tour through Hoi An’s rural surroundings to discover peaceful villages and scenic landscapes.

Days 10 to 12: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

From Central Vietnam to the Southern Metropolis

 

Day 10: Flight to Saigon & Vintage Vespa Street Food Tour

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Danang Airport for your domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

In the early evening, a truly special experience awaits: your private Vintage Vespa Street Food Tour.

The adventure begins with an orientation ride through downtown Saigon, passing by the city’s most iconic landmarks. You’ll stop at a local café for a welcome drink and to soak up the atmosphere of daily life, Saigon-style.

Throughout the evening, you’ll ride through various neighborhoods and sample a variety of authentic street foods that Saigon is famous for – including Bánh mì, Vietnamese pizza, grilled pork BBQ, and more. A short detour into hidden backstreets offers you a truly local travel experience.

You’ll visit some of the most popular and beloved food stalls, eating like a local while immersing yourself in the rhythm of the city.
This tour is perfect for those who love exploring culinary traditions while discovering vibrant street life in one of Asia’s most exciting cities.

 

Day 11: Cho Lon, Culture & Colonial Charms

Today, you’ll explore Chinatown (Cho Lon) and the bustling Binh Tay Market in a traditional Vietnamese cyclo (xich lo) – the country’s iconic three-wheeled bicycle taxi. The market is full of color, scents, and local life – offering all kinds of useful and beautiful items.

Your cyclo ride continues to Thuong Lan Ong Street, famous for its traditional herbal medicine shops, where fragrant dried herbs fill the air. You’ll then visit the Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the Sea Goddess and an important place of worship for the Cantonese community.

After lunch, continue your city exploration with a visit to the History Museum and the Reunification Palace, the former presidential residence.

Just a short walk away, you'll see the impressive Central Post Office in colonial style and the Notre-Dame Cathedral (currently under renovation, exterior viewing only), a favorite backdrop for local wedding photos.

On the return to your hotel, you’ll pass by the Opera House and the elegant Old City Hall

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy freely.

 

Day 12: Mekong Delta Discovery – Ben Tre

Today, you’ll leave the city behind and head to the Mekong Delta for a day of nature, river life, and authentic encounters. In Ben Tre, board a boat to explore the lively activities along the river – from fishing and river transport to the traditional craft of brick-making using age-old printing and baking methods.

Visit a coconut processing workshop along the canals, followed by a walk to a family-run mat-weaving business, where you’ll enjoy fresh fruit and tea.

Travel by motorized cart (xe lôi) or bicycle along shady paths past vegetable gardens and experience rural life up close – a true glimpse into the tropical culture of the Mekong farmers.

Then relax on a sampan boat ride through peaceful canals, before enjoying lunch and returning to Saigon in the afternoon.

Days 13 to 15: Mui Ne

Farewell to Saigon – Welcome to the Shores of Mui Ne

Today, you leave the bustling streets of Saigon behind and head to Mui Ne, a charming beach destination on Vietnam’s southeastern coast. Once a quiet fishing village, Mui Ne has blossomed into a beloved retreat for beach lovers, kite surfers, and nature enthusiasts.

The town is known for its golden sand dunes, swaying palm trees, and laid-back vibe. Among the highlights are the striking red and white sand dunes, the colorful fishing harbor, and the scenic Fairy Stream – a shallow stream winding through dramatic rock formations.

Thanks to its sunny climate and steady coastal winds, Mui Ne is ideal for watersports, relaxing beach days, or simply soaking up the peaceful seaside atmosphere.

You’ll stay here for 2 nights, giving you time to truly unwind and enjoy this tropical escape.

Days 16 & 17: Overnight flight back to Luxembourg
